Hi there! Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I'm coming to you from your post to my thread HERE.
This is beautifully done! I love her hair, and the shine on the armor is perfect! Great job on the warm colors in the background, too. It's been fun watching you progress. You just keep getting better and better.
Well, you know, armor values are higher when there are more exposed skin, at least in epic fantasy. They don't look for a real armor, just for a "cool" armor to make their characters looks awesome. It would be nice if they start doing armors the way they should be.
Yeah, but, maybe those creators should NOT give women reasons to complain about their games because of trying to look "cool". In real combat, which are you going to worry about more; living or looking like a badass?
Mmm but that's more about business I think, you sell more if you have more attractive and sexy armors with sexy girls.
For example I think that Dungeons & Dragons have more "realistic" armors. I used to play with a mage for a few levels and she had the normal cloth outfit, not showing anything, and it looked nice too :>
In terms of real combat, they won't survive of course, but some people only want their OC's to look "cool", and survive with surrealistic armors. That's how it is.
Of course it's offensive dear, nobody said that it's not. But that's how it is right now. Give it a few more years... WoW is starting to do more "full" armors and it looks better than before, at least this gear I've painted for example doesn't seem like the most powerful tier. Full geared characters have a full armor with no "exposed" skin.
And sometimes a good villain can fill the excitement, but a sexy girl can do the same too <.<
